Six New Notecards

These six notecards were made from pages of the journal I kept while I was preparing for the trunk show at the Harwood Museum store in Taos.  Some are diagrams of the book structures and images used in the books in the show.

All cards are 5″ x 7″, with envelopes, packaged in a clear sleeve, and retail for $5.00.

They are numbered from left to right as follows:

JP 05, JP 06, JP 07

JP 08, JP 09, JP 10

About Julie Wagner

I was born in Wisconsin, and grew up on the east coast, wandering the woods, collecting leaves, bones, and bugs. After earning a BA from Oberlin College, studying sculpture at the Brooklyn Museum School, and receiving an MFA in sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design, I moved to a rural town in northern New Mexico where I live with my blacksmith husband, and a long series of dogs and cats. My work is based on the natural environment where I live, maps, scientific diagrams and microscopic images. My work is in public and private collections throughout the United States and Europe.

    Hi Julie,
I’m so thrilled to find you on this website. I met you on the Oberlin College canoe trip down the Colorado. We had the wonderful connection that I had bought your raven pin several years before and was talking about it while we sat in camp and you said, “That is my pin. I’m the artist.” We were both speechless. A really powerful connection. I’m in the process of organizing my art files and when I got to you….the ravens that I bought later I just had to find you. I hope that you are enjoying your work and that life continues to be joyful. Hopefully I will get back to NM soon to find you again. Mary Ann Crayton

    Hi Julie,
John and I are coming to NM Dec. 24/31. I’m hoping to see your work. Where are you exhibiting now? Would be so nice to see you again but I know it is not a good time for most people so instead I will just be happy to see your work if anything is open during that week. Hope all is well. ma

      Hi Mary Ann,
I don’t have my work anywhere on a continuous basis, except for a gallery in Matfield Green, Kansas. But I have lots of work here in my studio, and I would love to see you and John. We will probably go to Albuquerque for Christmas day, or our daughter and her family will come up here, but we will be around most of the time you will be here. Where will you be in New Mexico? Let’s try and figure out a way we can get together. Hoping to see you, Julie

Mary Ann, I am still using this blog, although I post only infrequently. I am trying to become more faithful. Will you be coming to New Mexico anytime soon? If you are, let’s try to get together.
